From now through New Year's Eve, Seaside's calendar runs on two days of the week. On Wednesday afternoons the Amphitheater has a band, and on Saturday mornings it has the farmers market. Every week, both keep their slots, and the holiday events keep landing on top of them.
That changes how this season works for anyone who already spends time in Central Square. The parade, the wine festival's biggest afternoon, the Holiday Market and the start of Santa's run all share a Saturday with the market. Two of the Santa photo nights, including the last one, fall on concert Wednesdays and overlap with the music. If you know where the fixtures sit, you know where the season gets busiest.
The two days that don't move
Sounds of Seaside runs every Wednesday in November and December from 4 to 6 p.m. at the Seaside Amphitheater in Central Square. The Seaside Farmers Market runs Saturdays from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the Amphitheater during both months, at 2235 E County Hwy 30A.
The Wednesday lineup has a short list of returning names, so if you have a favorite band, here are its dates:
| Wednesday | Sounds of Seaside performer |
|---|---|
| Nov 4 | Max McCann |
| Nov 11 | Flow Tribe |
| Nov 18 | Roman Street |
| Nov 25 | BOUKOU GROOVE |
| Dec 2 | Roman Street |
| Dec 9 | Max McCann |
| Dec 16 | Fred Domulot |
| Dec 23 | Max McCann |
| Dec 30 | Flow Tribe |
Max McCann plays three December Wednesdays, including the one two days before Christmas. Flow Tribe plays the night before New Year's Eve. BOUKOU GROOVE has Thanksgiving Eve. The Saturday market has no breaks to work around. It runs Nov 7, 14, 21 and 28, then Dec 5, 12, 19 and 26.
Seeing Red starts the season this weekend
The Seeing Red Wine Festival runs November 5 through 8. That means it starts the day this post goes up and ends Sunday. Its five events are spread across four days and four venues, and its biggest one shares a Saturday with the market.
- Vintner's Dinner, Thursday, Nov 5, 6 to 9 p.m., at Bud & Alley's, 2236 E County Hwy 30A.
- Al Fresco Reserve Tasting, Friday, Nov 6, 6 to 8:30 p.m., on the Lyceum Lawn at 42 Smolian Circle.
- Battle of the Somms, Saturday, Nov 7, 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., at The Daytrader, Units 4 and 5 at 2236 E County Hwy 30A.
- Grand Tasting, Saturday, Nov 7, 12:30 to 4 p.m., in Central Square. Wineries and vintners from around the world pour alongside dishes from local chefs, some of them from Seaside's own kitchens, with live music.
- Celebration of Bubbles, Sunday, Nov 8, 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.
On Saturday the order runs like this. The farmers market opens in the Amphitheater at 9. Battle of the Somms starts at The Daytrader at 10. The Grand Tasting takes over Central Square at 12:30, half an hour before the market closes at 1. For roughly three and a half hours the town's heart holds the weekly market and the festival's largest event back to back, with a short overlap.
Sunday has its own overlap, on a smaller scale. Colombia & Company marks its first anniversary from 10 a.m. to noon in the Seaside Pop-Up District, next to Pickle's Sandbar. Those two hours fall inside the Celebration of Bubbles window.
Thanksgiving week is where the holidays begin
After Seeing Red, the calendar is quiet for two weeks except for the Wednesday concerts and Saturday markets. Then six of the season's events arrive in seven days, the busiest week of the season.
- Sunday, Nov 22, 5 p.m. Ballet Pensacola performs The Nutcracker Act II on the Amphitheater stage. Admission is free and the performance is open to the public. Seaside's own holiday guide calls this the start of the holiday season.
- Monday, Nov 23. Miracle at The Daytrader opens the next day and stays open daily from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. through Dec 31. It doesn't take reservations. Seaside describes it as Northwest Florida's only Miracle pop-up bar, with holiday décor and seasonal cocktails under The Daytrader's thatched roof.
- Wednesday, Nov 25, 4 p.m. BOUKOU GROOVE plays Sounds of Seaside on Thanksgiving Eve.
- Friday, Nov 27, 7 p.m. Central Square Cinema shows How the Grinch Stole Christmas, the Jim Carrey version. Bring a blanket, towel or lawn chair.
- Saturday, Nov 28, 9 a.m. The farmers market runs its usual morning.
- Saturday, Nov 28, 3 p.m. The Holiday Parade and Turn on the Town begins two hours after the market closes.
Per its listing on 30A.com, it leaves Seagrove Plaza at 3723 E County Hwy 30A at 3 p.m. and heads west along 30A to the Seaside Amphitheater and Central Square. So on Saturday afternoon the parade covers the full stretch of 30A between Seagrove and Seaside.
After the parade, Emerald Coast Theatre Company performs at Krier Plaza. Then the crowd gathers at the Amphitheater for the tree lighting, where Santa officially opens the season, and Santa takes photos at the Christmas Village until 8 p.m. Proceeds from parade registration benefit Point Washington Medical Clinic. Seaside links to registration from the event page.
December's Saturdays fill up around the market
Once the town is lit, the holiday events keep landing on Saturdays. Here's how each December Saturday stacks up against the 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. market:
| Saturday | Farmers market | Also in Seaside |
|---|---|---|
| Dec 5 | 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. | Holiday Market in Central Square, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. |
| Dec 12 | 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. | Santa photos begin, 4 to 6 p.m. |
| Dec 19 | 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. | Santa photos, 4 to 6 p.m. |
| Dec 26 | 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. | Miracle at The Daytrader, 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. |
The first weekend of December has the biggest overlap. On Saturday, Dec 5, the Holiday Market opens in Central Square at 9 a.m., the same minute the farmers market opens in the Amphitheater, and stays open until 4. On Sunday, Dec 6, it returns from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. with local artisans and makers. Sunday is the calmer day to shop, since nothing else is scheduled against it.
The gap between the market closing and the afternoon events also leaves time for lunch along the Seaside strip. Airstream Row added Wild Nectar this year, a juice bar and coastal kitchen. Taco Bar now shares the Bud & Alley's flagship building with Pizza Bar, so both are in one place. ’drome serves dumplings, bao, street food and boba tea.
Santa's hours run into the Wednesday concerts
Photos with Santa run every evening from Dec 12 through Dec 23, 4 to 6 p.m., at 2227 E County Highway 30A. The photos are free. Those are the same hours as Sounds of Seaside. So on two Wednesdays, Santa and a live band are in Central Square at the same time:
- Dec 16: Santa photos alongside Fred Domulot on the Amphitheater stage.
- Dec 23: The last night of Santa photos alongside Max McCann.
On Dec 30, Flow Tribe plays the final Sounds of Seaside of 2026. The next evening, Thursday, Dec 31, Central Square is busy again from 4 to 9 p.m. with arts and crafts, face painting and photos in front of the Post Office. Live music starts at 5:30 p.m. and fireworks go off at 9 p.m. Seaside suggests watching from the Amphitheater or the beach, with a blanket or lawn chair. That's also the last day Miracle at The Daytrader is open, so the pop-up and the fireworks end the season on the same night.
